JINGLE BELL RUN DEC. 2013

I don't have a ton to say about this race other than that it was COLD. The race announcer congratulated us before the race started, saying this was a record breaker as the warmest it got that day was a whopping SEVEN degrees! Little did I know that the half I would run in the spring would be a record breaker for heat.

I layered up for this race and was really nervous as this was my first race of any type after physical therapy for my messed up knee. Although it was cold, I felt pretty good for most of the race.

We finished this one in under 40 minutes (4 miles), which was our goal since it was freezing and none of us had trained much! When I went inside to get hot chocolate after, there were icicles of sweat hanging from my warm headband.

This is a great race to run if you are looking for something to run in the dead of winter! I will definitely be back for it next year!
